I've been asked a number of times about modifying various smaller hanging bird feeders so that, like the larger sculptural work, they can be converted into free standing pieces. I created this listing as an option to add this functionality to ANY of the smaller designs.

This listing basically covers the extra time and materials involved with making the base and pole, modifying the feeder, as well as the extra shipping. This listing should be coupled with the purchase of one of the smaller hanging feeders. This way I will know which design you want, and what color.

The feeder will be modified so that it attaches to an upright pole and base, ultimately standing about 6' tall once it's in the ground. The height can always be made shorter by simply 'planting' the base a little deeper in the soil.
